US DOL PROPOSES STREAMLINING INJURY REPORTING RULE

US DOL PROPOSES STREAMLINING INJURY REPORTING RULE: Congressional Democrats are urging the DOL to drop a roll back of requirements for companies to submit their detailed injury forms to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Employers are already required to keep track of their employees’ injuries in records kept on a worksite. In July, the┬áDOL announced it was issuing a proposal that would roll back aspects of an Obama-era rule requiring employers to submit those records to OSHA electronically. The new regulation is expected to be reported out soon.
